Indian medical Visa for Foreigners

Getting an Indian e-medical visa is a pretty straightforward process, the patients need to complete an application to receive medical treatment. 

The applicant must fill out an online form and answer a few questions to apply for Indian Medical visa. But here are the most important things the applicant needs to know about the visa process. 

• The Indian e-medical visa is valid for 60 days from the date of arrival in India. 
• E-medical visa holders can travel to India a maximum of three times in the visa time frame. 
• The applicants are required to have sufficient funds in their accounts to sustain their living and medical treatment in India. 
• The applicants must have onward and return journey tickets to apply for the visa.
• The applicant must have a valid passport with minimum 6 months validity from the date of arrival and have at least two blank pages for the stamps. 
• The applicant must have a front-facing, cantered face photograph to be uploaded while applying for the visa. 

To apply for the medical visa India, you need to follow these steps. 

• First, you need to open the indianvisaonline.gov.in and click on the e-visa for Medical option. 
• Then, you have to click on the ‘Apply here for e-visa’ link from the bottom menu panel. 
• Now, fill out the details and choose the category and proceed to document upload steps. 
• Upload all the required documents such as passport, photograph, journey tickets, hospital letter and so on. 
• Now, pay the online fee using the credit or debit card in the next step.
• After that, you can submit the application and wait for ETA to arrive in your email inbox. 

ETA is an electronic travel authorization that allows you to cross Indian borders without any issue. Take a print out of ETA and present it to relevant authorities while crossing the border.
