·         There are only a few designated airports and seaports that allow the e-visa for entering the country.
·         You can stay up to a maximum of 90 days in a single visit while applying for an e-visa to India. However, a few nationals can stay up to 180 days for tourist or business purposes and those countries are Canada, the USA, UK, and Japan. Typically e-visa is valid for a year and you can enter India multiple times in that year.
·         You cannot apply for a visa while you are India, you have to go back and then apply for an extension. However, an extension is granted under special circumstances and you have to request them and present the necessary documents.
·         And one important thing is that once you submit your fee to the Indian government, it is nonrefundable whether you get the visa or not.
